Are you a high roller in Cardiff?
Plenty of rooms will take your money. Very few filter who else is in them, which is the only thing that makes a room worth joining.
The Operator is a private, vetted membership for people building real things. Cardiff is a capital city compact enough to know itself. Government, broadcast media and one very large insurer anchor a professional class packed into a small footprint, so the same faces recur across sectors in a way they never would in a bigger city.

What most high rollers in Cardiff are dealing with
- Networks that sell access rather than curate it
- Rooms full of people selling to each other rather than building
- Paying for proximity to a name rather than to peers
What membership gives you
- Vetted membership, so everyone in the room cleared the same bar you did
- Small and deliberately capped rather than scaled for volume
- Operators with real businesses, not a mailing list with a price on it
Members meet online and, in Cardiff, in person. Around Cardiff Bay, Capital Quarter, Pontcanna and the rooms you would expect: Heaneys, Asador 44, The Potted Pig.
